Mr. Jack Daniels Original Silver Cornet Band

Sunday - September 23, 2007 7:30pm

Mr. Jack Daniels Silve Cornet Band circa 1890 From a faded photograph taken in the mid 1890's, musician-actor-historian Dave Fulmer has re-created a form of Musical Americana that no longer exists. Touring the U.S. since 1978, Mr. Jack Daniel's Original Silver Cornet Band brings vividly to life the sights and sounds of a vanished era in American musical history via a 12 piece band of professional musicians dedicated to playing the music of the Small Town Bands of over half a century ago.

Today's Mr. Jack Daniels Silver Cornet Band When Mr. Jack Daniel bankrolled the first Silver Cornet Band in Lynchburg (pop. 361) back in 1892, he had it in mind to liven up the political rallies which periodically harangued their way through the quiet Cumberland foothills To recreate Mr. Jack Daniel's Original Silver Cornet Band, some eighty years later, meant importing some horns from France, hand-making others to order, and even scrounging through the attics of antique collectors. The time required, fifteen months. The investment? Well, we just hope you think it was worth it.
