South County Concert Association was founded in 1975 to bring a variety
of fine music to its subscribers. Each season we offer a variety of five internationally and nationally
recognized artists. Performances range from vocal and instrumental soloists to
large choral, instrumental, and dance groups. Over the years, we have offered
famous groups such as the Norman Luboff Choir, The New Christy Minstrels, and the
Glenn Miller Orchestra as well as new rising stars.
The Association is a non-profit organization of volunteers who are dedicated to
offering fine music and community cultural enrichment.
Concerts are held at Southern High School
on Rt. 2 in Harwood, Maryland.
The school has good acoustics and excellent facilities for full orchestras and
dance groups. All concerts begin at 7:30PM except for occasional Sunday afternoon
concerts that begin at 3PM. The concerts are offered fall, winter, and spring.
Admission to the concerts is by season subscription. See our
subscription page for prices.
Tickets are sold at the door for individual concert performances for $20
per person. Because of a reciprocity agreement, our subscribers are invited to
attend the five concerts offered by
Anne Arundel Community Concert Series
held at
Severna Park High School.
Partial funding is provided by a grant from
The Arts Council of
Anne Arundel County and the
Maryland State Arts Council.
